Southern Girls Challenge Birthday Blog Hop!!!!!

Can you believe we are a year old?, and what a fantastic year it has been with the support from all our wonderful sponsors, and to be on the best Design Team anyone could wish for. In celebration of this, we have an amazing bloghop with some of our fantastic regular sponsors giving away fabulous prizes. You should have arrived from http://doggonecrazy-viv.blogspot.com/, if not, head back to www.southerngirlschallenges.blogspot.com where a full blog hop list is.

I have used and image from http://robynsfetish.com/shop/ called Cabin in the woods. Robyns Fetish is giving away 5 digi stamps & 1 paper paper pack  to one lucky lady who 1 - comments on my blog and 2 - enters the challenge at Southern Girls.

So, to recap.... the rules are simple, make sure you make a card and enter on Southern Girls Challenges, also leave me a comment, and on the 20th of September I will draw a random name, that will be a winner of the sponsor that I am showcasing.
Now head on over to http://cardmakingbird.blogspot.com/  have fun......

Tis The Season!!!

For all those card makers out there to be thinking about their Christmas stash.  Do you make a bunch the same, or create individual masterpieces??  I tend to do a bit of both, then never get around to sending them out! lol. Here is my first Christmas card for the season using xmax brat from Bugaboo stamps

And for the Big boys

Teen boy cards are often the source of stress for card makers... get grungy and add as much metal as you can! I have run some metal shim thru my cuttlebug using an embossing folder that looks like industrial flooring, and it makes the perfect addition to masculine cards.  You can also use a coke can if you don't have any shim in your stash.  Just use a knife or scissors to cut the top and bottom off your can and give the metal a wash to get rid of the stick fizzy and you are good to go!  just be careful as the edges will be a bit sharp! You can punch or emboss aluminum easily.  The sk8r card has used a rubber stamp image from Rubbadubbadoo, and the woohoo card images are from whimsy doodles (car) and I can't remember where the boy is from... he was a rubber stamp I had a few years ago.

For the Little boys

All of these cards are nice and quick, perfect for the boys friends birthdays.  The baseball player and Noah's ark are coloured with watercolour pencils, the alien with waterbased markers, and the Lion and 'super mouse' are pre coloured images, which make pulling these cards together even easier!

I made these cards to showcase the papers from echo park for www.scrapbookoutletnz.co.nz .  The images are from www.thepapershelter.com (love birds) and www.tiddlyinks.com (roboto) and I can't remember where the other 2 came from....(note to self.... make a note on each download as to where you brought it from!)
Off to get my hair done!!!
